Registration for all training sessions are open approximately 30 days before the scheduled training date, unless otherwise stated below**.

All trainings are Free, unless otherwise stated below*.

 

Youth Development Practitioners Academy (Y.D.P.A.)

You may enroll in one or all of the nine courses. To receive a Youth Development Practitioners Certificate you must successfully complete all nine of the courses (in any order, all courses do not have to be taken in the same cohort year). Students enrolling in the full nine-course certificate program, must attend a one-hour Orientation on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 9:00 am-10:00am at The Village for Children and Families South Campus, 331 Wethersfield Ave.  Hartford, CT.

*The Y.D.P.A. trainings have a $50/course cost. The complete certificate program cost is $450. Training courses can be paid in full or upon completion of each individual course.  For those paying individually; should your account reach 2 months delinquent you will be unable to continue the Youth Development Practitioner Academy until the balance  is paid in full.  

 

The Middle Management Institute trainings are offered in a cohort design. A cohort of not more than twenty individuals is selected to be part of the institute each year. To enroll in the Middle Management Institute you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  1. All applicants must be presently working at a faith based or community based organization in the City of Hartford.
  2. Applicants need to have demonstrated leadership through professional positions and/or volunteer activities.
  3. Applicant must submit all required application documentation: 
    1. Application form
    2. Updated resume
    3. Letter of support from agency executive director
    4. Personal statement of interest & demonstrated leadership (1page)
    5. Sign applicant commitment form

Decisions of admission to the 2011-20112 cohort will be determined by end of September
