Description: As youth development professionals, we work to prepare our young people to be productive, self-sufficient adults and active participants in society. We cannot reach this goal without reflecting on our complex identities and its impact on how we interact with the world.  Creating a collective identity, a collective consciousness will enable us to be active participants and decision makers in society. This training series covers strategies we can implement in our everyday work to move our young people from complacent bystanders to active change agents. As adult facilitators we must be able to educate, build self efficacy, and move youth to action. This training series focuses on individual and community identity formation, self efficacy, and youth activism through the use of popular education strategies and visual thinking strategies.
